FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION

Since 2016, Tanner Conant, a local from Santa Clarita, California, has been actively involved in the motion picture and television industry. Tanner has worked on numerous projects, ranging from short student films to feature films, starting as a Production Assistant and currently serving as a Production Coordinator. With a Bachelor's degree in Media Studies and an Associate's degree in Filmmaking and Communication, Tanner's passion for the entertainment industry drives his ambition for a successful and unique career in media. Tanner's journey has involved a great deal of hustle, including managing Excel spreadsheet contacts, writing over 80 letters, and even walking up to basecamps for work. Tanner's dedication is evident in the diverse film sets Tanner has worked on, including a thrilling police chase in downtown Los Angeles for FOX's TV show Deputy, regulating background atop a water slide for a Six Flags commercial at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, and as a Production Assistant for Quentin Tarantino's feature film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Tanner has worked on six different backlots and five film ranches, collaborating with various production companies on projects for Amazon, AMC, CW, FOX, iHeart, Lifetime, NBC, Netflix, Oxygen, Paramount, Sony, and the VMAs.

In 2023, Tanner joined a multiple award-winning television studio, SCVTV, as a Production Coordinator. SCVTV is a hyper-local television studio serving the Santa Clarita Valley in northern Los Angeles County. As a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, SCVTV provides public, educational, and governmental access to the community through its channel, website, and social media platforms. The studio produces locally made shows such as Community Corner and SCV 101, featuring interviews with community leaders discussing current events in the city and annual events like the State of the City, the 4th of July Parade, and additional news packages. As Production Coordinator, Tanner cultivates these community-based shows, creating engaging and meaningful content that makes a positive impact. Always proactive, Tanner's overall goal is to streamline logistical tasks while adding a memorable touch that leaves a lasting impression. With laser focus, Tanner excels in engaging with the administrative, media, and community fields, particularly at SCVTV, where Tanner works effectively internally, collaborates with colleagues, and builds great relationships with the public externally. With an emphasis on attention to detail, stellar planning, and outreach skills, makes Tanner a valuable asset to achieve any goal.

In October 2025, Tanner further strengthened this connection by joining the City of Santa Clarita as a PTS Recreation Leader II, engaging residents through outdoor recreation programs and gaining hands-on experience in municipal operations and public service. In addition to current roles, Tanner shadowed KEYT-TV in Santa Barbara, demonstrating dedication by commuting long distances for over a month to gain hands-on broadcast experience. With more than ten years of customer service experience, including positions with Warner Bros., Starbucks, Edwards Cinemas, and Six Flags, Tanner brings strong communication skills, reliability, and professionalism to every role. Outside of work, Tanner continues professional development through networking, NBCU Academy, and YouTube, remaining active to assist with local events and community service, including volunteering with the American Red Cross during wildfire shelter operations, building homes with Habitat for Humanity, and previously supporting fire service agencies as Photographer and Fire Explorer with the LAFD and LACoFD. Together, these experiences reflect Tanner’s commitment to public service, community engagement, and continuous growth. Tanner is motivated to contribute these skills and dedication to an organization that values communication, teamwork, and service to the community.

As of 2026, Tanner currently manages three part-time roles while pursuing a long-term career in communications and public service. For over six years at The Home Depot, Tanner has handled administrative responsibilities, cash management, and customer service while working in the Back Office and the Paint Department. Working in the paint department, Tanner continues to help customers choose the right colors to bring their projects to life, which has become a meaningful part of the overall civic and media career. That Home Depot experience shapes how Tanner views his community work as well. Just as color helps define and enhance a space, clear communication, storytelling, and public programs help add character, connection, and vitality to a community. Tanner carries this perspective into his work with SCVTV, where he supports and creates the foundation of local storytelling and community communication, regularly collaborating on content and initiatives that highlight programs, events, and public information connected to the City of Santa Clarita. Seeing how media coverage, city programs, and community organizations come together has reinforced his understanding of how many different elements contribute to a vibrant and informed community.
